LK 8:19 Now Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. 20 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you."

LK 8:21 He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice."

Hey Crossings Church.  I really miss everyone, between vacation and some out of town speaking assignments it feels like I have been gone forever.

In our text this week Jesus isn’t making less of a family connection, or teaching us to dishonor family but he is showing us that we can all be family.  Jesus said that those who hear his word and practice his word are called family.  What a privilege to be a close family member of Jesus’.  I want to encourage you to take some time this week and spend time hearing God’s word (read your bible).  After being in God’s word trust that the Holy Spirit will help you practice what you heard.
